Welcome to "Beyond Sounds". This is the part 1 of our first module of School of Medicine Music. Here we're going to explore the mysteries and traditions around the world that have been connecting with music as a form of trance, learn about their songs, the history, their devotion and reverence for it.

Every section of this program will take you about two weeks to digest. Take your time as you go through the lessons listed here. You will find a main video for each step, and also some complementary materials, like, exercises, articles, playlists, documentary and footage from several countries that will give you a deeper insight into the various disciplines of medicine music and its effect on human beings.

It's important to have in your mind that we're not just learning how to perform songs here. It's not about a mechanical repetition that you can perfect and reproduce. These songs are alive and they will play you if you allow yourself to explore the field of creativity that surrounds each of them. There is magic in this field. Things that are beyond the shallow dives, and will be unique to every single person. Take your time to explore each of these blocks. Read about it, connect with the depths of these traditions, with the nature and their reverence to it. Cultivate this depth in your practices and your creativity will fly beyond what you can imagine. Music is a living spirit and we're the instruments.

The invitation here is to take you beyond sounds! Feel the depths of these traditions and soak yourself with the wisdom carried by these lineages and their song lines.

Growing up in a musical family, I was surrounded by creativity and prayer from a very young age. As I grew older, music became a second skin and I fell in love with playing guitar and singing. It took me a while to feel comfortable to play in front of other people. I remember how judgmental and hypercritical I used to be. Music took me into a deep journey of self acceptance that still unfolding and rippling thought all my relations.

Throughout my life, I have discovered the importance of exploring spirituality and connecting people through love. Music has become my medicine to express the great mystery within us all. I've been connecting with it to lift my frequency, have fun, pray and enjoy life with those around me. Now more than ever, I feel anchored and inspired to share this knowledge with you.
